BALLET ARTS STUDIO'S
SPRING CONCERT
AT THE BARDAVON

Ballet Arts Studio and The Dutchess Dance Company announce the studio’s Spring Concert 2019:  A Dancer’s Bookshelf:  Words in Motion, Saturday, June 1st, at the Bardavon 1869 Opera House in Poughkeepsie, with performances at 2 pm and 6:30 pm.  Dancers from our studio and school, aged three to 18, will celebrate great literature for children and adults, from Goodnight Moon, to Romeo & Juliet, to One Thousand and One Nights, to The Color Purple, in this very family-friendly performance.  Classical and classic music from all genres will complement this exploration--through ballet, jazz, tap, modern, and theater dance--of some of the great writers from all over the world.

A Dancer’s Bookshelf:  Words in Motion will also feature The Dutchess Dance Company, Ballet Arts Studio’s resident dance company, performing two original dance works choreographed by Jennifer Fuchs Nathanson, a former member of the New York City Ballet, and studio artistic director Alex Bloomstein.

A Dancer’s Bookshelf:  Words in Motion will be presented on Saturday, June 1st, at the Bardavon 1869 Opera House in Poughkeepsie, with performances at 2 pm and 6:30 pm. Tickets $15, $12 for children under 12 and seniors.
